(More customer reviews)I usually use Cover Girl products, but decided to try L'Oreal's Bare Naturale (in Soft Ivory) to see if buying a more expensive product would produce better results.
I'll start off with the product itself...the powder covers well initially, but it doesn't have much staying power. It settles into any creases/fine lines and becomes more prominent throughout the day.
The compact itself is what aggravated me the most though. I would only use the compact in the morning and leave it in the bathroom, so it was not subjected to any abuse (such as the inside of a purse). Within the first week of use, the portion of the compact holding the brush broke--I glued it back together, but the other side broke a few days later and I just gave up. I started storing the brush elsewhere in my bathroom since it clearly didn't want to stay in the compact. Over the next few weeks, portions of plastic started breaking off the inside of the compact--making it increasingly difficult to close. *sigh* Okay...now the compact is stuck in a stationary spot inside of a drawer when I am not using it. This morning the last bit of plastic that allowed the compact to stay shut broke off--so now the compact can only remain closed if I leave it flat on a surface. Since it is now more trouble than it is worth, I carved out the powder and threw the compact into the recycling bin.
I will never buy this product again--mainly because the packaging makes it too troublesome to use/maintain.
