The cap was caked on the inside and there were makeup fingerprints on the outside. The product had been placed in a box so tht maybe I wouldn't notice, but I used to work for a beauty product company and am very careful with any makeup I may use. Be careful with makeup sent from this company.

(More customer reviews)I never thought I'd give up foundation. This product has shortened my make-up routine by turning 2 step foundation + powder into one step only, and it looks very natural. It covers, blends and evens out skin tone perfectly. Put on moisturizer, then wait a bit for it to dry, then apply with a good stiff bristle brush so you don't lose too much product in the brush. Apply concealer over the powder (which is weird, but better to avoid caking). I still use concealer for blemishes and dark under eye circles, but the powder takes care of the rest. Excellent product!!

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear? SPF 50 Powder Foundation - Medium Review

(More customer reviews)I constantly read makeup and skin product reviews by professional makeup artists/dermatologists and came across this recommendation. With doctors, dermatologists and even the skin cancer foundation urging people on having adequate sun protection, this is an ultimate gem. We all know that the sun is a main contributor to find lines and nobody likes age spots.
Even if you don't care for sun protection, as a powder itself:
Smooth
Good coverage
Doesn't easily look caked or unnatural the way many SPF powder foundations do
Leaves skin looking flawless
Esthetically, it really does rival a non SPF powder
Does not make me break out
For those looking for adequate sun protection, these numbers speak for themselves:
Active Ingredients:
4% Octinoxate - blocks UVB
21% Titanium Dioxide - physical blocker of UVA
3% Zinc Oxide - physical blocker of UVA
These percentages are humongous. While they don't recommend only wearing SPF powder for sun protection, there are so many physical UV blockers in this powder that I layer it over my foundation or sunscreen and am adequately protected from the sun, skin looking flawless. I hate the shiny look sunscreens can give you, and Neutrogena's Dry Touch line makes my skin feel like it's burning as my skin is very sensitive. I also prefer physical UV protection over chemical ingredients like Avobenzone because they only last about 2 hours tops for sun protection while this powder will keep on protecting all day. I just touch up here and there if I sweat a bit or as hours have gone by.
I bought this powder for Buy One Get One 50% at the drugstore. Not all drugstores carry it. MSRP is about $15.

Covers and looks as good as the others and less $$$! Glad I switched! Medium Tan is a great neutral color.....I'm not pale and not tanning. This color works for me all year long. I do get tan if I choose to, and then I can use a bronzer to add a little more color.

Physicians Formula Powder Palette Color Corrective Powders, Multi-colored Corrector, Green, 0.3-Ounces Review

(More customer reviews)I thought I'd throw this review out there because this is probably a product a lot of people are hesitant about trying (I know I was a little skeptical, but hopeful).
I first saw this product in CVS and was interested in purchasing it. I have fair skin with a very pink undertone, and I often find my face gets red and blotchy in the middle of the work day. Because of the price of the product (about $14.00), I thought I would check out some reviews online first to see if it was worth the money.
I read mixed reviews, and saw a lot of complaints about the product containing Talc. Because my skin is very prone to breakouts, I decided this probably wouldn't be the best product to try. The next time I visited CVS, I looked in the Physician Formula section again to see if there were any other similar products. Long behold, right next to this product, there was a Talc-free version.
The Talc-free version is a little different. Instead of a Green-mosaic pattern, there are simply light green splotches mixed with a translucent white color. Other reviewers complained of the concentration of color in the mosaic product. The talc-free version is a very light green color, and the white helps balance the green color as well.
I decided to go ahead and buy the product in the store. I applied my regular liquid foundation and mineral powder, then dusted a little of the Physicians Formula over where I have the most redness (T-zone, nose, and chin). I was pleased with the results as it definitely seemed to minimize the red areas. If I applied too much, I could see hints of the powder on my face, so really you only need a little bit.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is I'm not very fond of the brush it came with. The brush is rather flat and does not evenly disperse the powder. I'd imagine a larger fluffy brush would be better, and I will have to look into purchasing one.
Definitely give it a try if you're willing to spend the money.. it does help!
