(More customer reviews)I compared this to many other bottles of Glycolic acid 30%, and this kit comes with a full bottle of the glycoic acid, plus a glycolic cleanser, glycolic toner, glycolic face cream and a fan in a nice zipper pouch. All this for the price of a bottle of 30% glycolic acid from other companies.
You can smell and feel the glycolic acid in the cleanser, the toner, and face cream. This really benefits the skin, preparing it for the peel and for care in between peels. I had the typical patches of dead skin a day or two after the peel, the cleanser, toner, and lotion helped speed the shedding and increased the benefits.
I have very pale skin, and felt starting with 30% was as strong as I could handle. Sure enough it stings as soon as you start brushing on the actual glycolic acid it self. Sitting by a small fan really helped. I used my cell phone timer, and was more than ready to rinse at 1 minute. I had a bowl of baking soda and water next to me which neutralizes the acid and stops the peel. The directions say it will sting more when you apply the baking soda and water, and they were spot on. (I dipped the brush in the baking soda/water solution and it fizzed!)
Then I just laid a cool wet cloth on my face after wiping off the acid on my face, neck, and hands. While moist I applied the face cream. No redness the next day. It's been a week, and just finished my 2nd peel. I see a difference. Fading a few darker freckles I wanted removed, more even skin tone, smaller pores and fresh looking skin. I can't wait to see the improvement at week 6.
There seems to be enough to do at least 6 hand and face treatments, maybe as many as 10-12. This is so much more effective than the spa peels I've done. I like being in control, and the whole kit cost less than 1 facial/peel at a spa or doctors office. It's VERY important you follow the directions, and have the baking soda water ready (the kit doesn't include baking soda, it's only 1.50 at the market).
I will absolutely buy this package again. I think I will give this as a nice holiday gift to my friends and ladies at work.
