(More customer reviews)This sunscreen has some stuff I love about it and stuff that can be improved. I'll start with the positives.
1. This is an all natural product with out the harmful chemicals that sunscreens has
2. this is the only sunscreen or sunblock I have ever used that didn't irritate my eyes. I could wear this all day and no problems.
3. it does have a white residue on your face, but it's not so bad when you wipe the excess off. The white residue is minimal compared to other healthy sunblock brands that I have tried.
Now for the bad.
1. This sunblock is very greasy. It's hard to wash off of your skin. I broke out after having used this sunblock for a couple weeks. Normal soap and water does not remove this product entirely and you may get acme. Hopefully I can find a cleanser that can remove this. I've been trying exfoliating cleanser to scrub it off.
2. It leaves a white gooey residue on your clothes. I washed my clothes and the residue was still there so it's apparently not water soluable. I am going to try to using hot water in the rinse cycle next time instead of cold. I am hoping that will help.
3. this sunblock comes out of the tube very thick, especially when the tube gets cold. You have no choice but to apply a thick layer on your face for complete coverage and then you have to wipe off the excess which is kind of annoying.
conclusion:
This sunblock is not with out flaws, but it is a good product nonetheless. I am willing to put up with with the white residue problem for now 'cause it doesn't irritate my eyes. That's very important to me since most sunscreens render me blind after a few hours of use. So, it's great for babies and kids since it's mild. Just wash your skin thouroughly after use with the proper cleanser 'cause you may break out. Also, it doesn't have the harmful chemicals that other products have and no nano-zinc which is important.

(More customer reviews)We just bought and used this product due to its high ratings on Skin Deep (an agency that uses a rating system to inform the public of the toxicity of a products ingredients) but after using it for a few days on our trip to Florida, we tossed it in the trash.
We have four kids, ranging in age from 1-12, and we are vigilant about sun protection (our kids all wear rash-guards as well as sun screens while swimming) and re-applications of lotions but we had several bad burns on our little ones. Last year, we used California Baby products and though it was bit tough to rub in, our kids never burned.
This stuff was greasy too, but I would have tolerated that if it had worked!
Mid-vacation I switched my family from Soleo to a back-up tube of California Baby from last year, and it STILL worked better, even being over a year old!
I'd use this product with hesitancy. If you're going out for a bit of sun here and there, it's probably fine. But if it's your main protection against the sun--think twice. There are better products on the market with low toxicity ratings.

(More customer reviews)Though the price is a little higher than what I would normally pay for sunscreen, since it was listed in a recent magazine article to be one of the top 10 sunscreens, I decided to splurge and give it a try. It was worth every penny! A little goes a long way because it's thick. It smells FANTASTIC; more like a scented lotion than a sunscreen. Once absorbed, you don't even feel like you're wearing sunscreen. AWESOME protection. I would recommend (and have!) this product to anyone who takes skin protection seriously, especially if you're active outdoors.

(More customer reviews)I spent an inordinate amount of time researching sunscreens this summer, and finally decided to try TruKid, based on the EWG guide and reviews. It's such an improvement over similar types of "safe" sunscreens. It goes on much smoother, it's not sticky or tacky, and the white haze disappears easily once it's rubbed in or once a little time has passed. (My 3-year-old does NOT sit still for me to rub it in, so usually I just slather it on her and wait for the whiteness to fade-- which it does, pretty quickly.)
Each of the other "safe" sunscreens I tried or read about had some kind of downside-- usually regarding the whiteness, the consistency, the difficulty rubbing it in, that it stained clothes, or the scent. I can't find a downside to this one except the price, which is on the high side for the amount of sunscreen you get.
It's true that this is a very small tube-- about the size of a wide toothpaste tube-- and you're instructed to use a "handful" of it each time you apply, so don't expect it to last the whole summer. It's a handy size to keep in a pocketbook, though. When I reorder, I'll order the two-pack.
Because the order was filled by the company, it also arrived with samples of their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A nice touch!

Aloe Vera Sunblock SPF 30 4 Ounces Review

The lotion is easy to rub in and does not make your skin feel sticky. My skin is fair so I do reapply often to avoid getting burned. The lotion has a nice light fragrance. (More customer reviews)We've always bought the all-natural sunscreens with physical sunblock ingredients (zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide), and no artificial fragrances or unnecessary chemicals -- e.g., Badger sunscreen, California Baby, UV Natural, etc. The downside of these sunscreens is that they generally tend to be very thick, fairly oily, and difficult to spread -- in some cases almost like a paste. (The one exception was the Weleda sunscreen, which had a beautiful texture and was nice for faces, but didn't seem to last as long.) The Trukids is the first all-natural sunscreen we've found that offers serious protection and is genuinely easy to spread. It is somewhat liquidy, spreads quickly even on an impatient child, absorbs easily, and is not greasy. The scent is mild and pleasant (sort of a natural creamsicle scent). It also contains micronized minerals (as opposed to nanoparticles), for those who are concerned about the possible risks associated with nanoparticles.

(More customer reviews)Lets see, where to begin. I live in Florida where we need sunscreen year round, especially if your outdoors a lot. Aside from working I ride my mountain bike 100-200 miles per week (combination of trail and road, needless to say suncreen is important. This year I think I have tried every sunscreen on the market, literetly. All neutorgena products eventually made my eyes swell and constant water, aveeno did the same, as did olay, and every other brand on the shelf. One day I purchased Blue Lizard sensitive skin , as I thought it was a pretty safe product, and it is. However, I apply sunscreen every 2 hours when I am in the sun (as suggested) and the blue lizard seemed to get pretty greasy, to the point that I was taking a paper towel and pat my entire face to try and soak some of it up.Fallene products went on smoothly but dried my face out, as did the blue lizzard. Vanicream was nice, but greasy as well. I began to try products like badger and beyond coastal when I accidentlly came across the EWG website listing the 2010 best/safest sunscreen products.
At the very top is sweetsation products. ALthough more money on intial cost, you actually are spending less because you need less. The products ingredients are all truly organic and that is why EWG name it top sunscreen/moisteruizer (spelling error).
The SPF 50 is easier to spread than the SPF30. The product blends in immedietly, does not make your face feel greasy, and last along time (even for me riding 2-3 hours in 90 degree weather). I have not felt any stinging in my eyes or flushing on my skin. Absolutely no effects like every other sunscreen on the market has given me. I am not someone who likes strong frangrances, and this product does not have that at all.
At first, it will leave a white cast, but if you gently rub it in and wait a few minutes the ghostly look goes away. The slightly white cast is worth the quality of the product.
When I first bought the SPF 30 I was thrown off a bit applying it, as it seemed to clump up on my face. The clumps would go away once I was able to rub them in, but had to wait a few minutes. My face immedietly had this new glow to it, I truly had not seen my face look this fresh in years (33 years old now). I am not pregant, but since I ride my bike so much in the sun I have become concerned about my health and the safety of the products I use. Sweetsation products are the safest and do wonders for your skin. I find my face to have this fresh look, like a healthy glow. I have noticed friends looking at me, one friend told me how healthy my face looked. She commented as soon as she saw me that morning. I didn't even mention to her anything about applying anything.
Anyway, I really liked the SPF 30 and didn't want to return so I emailed the company at the sweetsation therapy website directly, on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago actually. Too my surpise, about an hour later my phone had an incoming email, and it was from the owner of Sweetsation Therapy. Her email response was very impressive, how many businesses will email their clients on the weekends? not many. She gave me very helpful tips; suggested only apply a pea size or less at a time or putting a serum or day cream on first. This worked very well (the pea size amount) and no clumping at all. I was truly impressed with the cutsomer service. Since that Saturday (1-2 weeks ago) I have asked the owner a few more questions and she has always responded, never missed a question.
Sweetsation products are truly great. Even if your not in the sun everyday, the products are worth every penny. They last a very long time, longer than over the counter products and most others.
