(More customer reviews)I have tried several brands of facial tanners. My experience has been that most of them turn very orange and uneven, or they only last 1-2 days before washing off completely. I do not like using tinted self tanners on my face because they always make my face look dirty, and they make me look like I have black heads! But this is the color of sand. It leaves a nice glow on the skin that looks very pretty under makeup. I use it in place of my primer. It did not clog my pores and gave me such a natural and toasty tan in just a few hours. I highly recommend this product, I am so excited I discovered it!

(More customer reviews)No odor, never transfers onto clothing. Natural color on fair skin-never too dark. Exfoliate well in shower. Rub dab of regular, non-tanning lotion into kneecaps, elbows. Wait a couple minutes, then apply one pump at a time and allow tanner to be absorbed into skin. Leaving wet streaks will result in...streaks. No need to wait more than a minute or two before dressing.
Color does not fully develop until next day. Have ordered this for 5 years. Leftovers don't color as well a year later, so don't skimp in order to hold over a season. :)

(More customer reviews)WOW! I used to have to put self tanners on 2 days in a row to get a dark color. 1 application of this and I was shocked to see that I had a DARK tan. A GOOD dark tan that looked real on my Irish skin. And it lasted about a week before fading away. I did not even get the crackle / lizard breakup I typically get from tanning lotions. I try every new self tanner on my quest for a truly brown tan -- this is a Great product.

Jane Iredale Tantasia Review

(More customer reviews)Tantasia Self Tanner does spread on easily. You have to really make sure you cover every spot for a fairly even tan by rubbing it in well. Still have to be careful of areas around ankles and hands. One of the two problems with this product is I find it doesn't last as long as the other tanning products such as SUN Laboratories which smells really good by the way. The other is the cost. Sure, the directions say to apply daily for the desired result, but for $34-$36, it goes pretty fast. The color is pretty natural looking but I think the cost is too high for the product. If you're just interested in an occasional tan and use it sparely, I would recommend to try it and see for yourself.

I'm fair skinned, so it is hard to find a tanning product that gives you bronze skin and not orange. This one for sure is bronze! The only complaint I have is that it is so messy. When I use it I have to get in my shower and spray in there. The overspray covers every inch of my shower and I have to clean it then.
